I have been working with Teen Ink in several capacities since 2010, but only recently (just before I turned 20 and became ineligible) did I take the leap and submit any poetry to them.
To my delight, all three of the poems I submitted (“Guilt,” “Apricot Jam,” and “What I Want My Words To Do To You”) were accepted and published on Teen Ink’s website. “Apricot Jam” was even honored with an Editor’s Choice Award!
And, yes, before you ask, I do work for the poetry section of Teen Ink. However, I did not rank or publish any of my own work – that would have just been silly! I am therefore delighted that my poems have been published and that “Apricot Jam” was honored in such a way on the site.
Thanks, Teen Ink!
